Eyes are our window to the world and they have to be entrusted only to the best. The Department provides outpatient services by a team of consultants who are qualified, skilled and treat a wide range of eye disorders.
Most surgical procedures of the eye are performed as day care surgeries. Evaluation of the eye is done as part of routine health check-up, as well as diabetic health check programmes.
- The Department’s facilities enable a complete evaluation of the eye, right from eye examination to check vision to refraction, muscle balance and slit-lamp examination, applanation tonometry and detailed retina evaluation with indirect ophthalmoscopy.
- A number of eye problems are related to other medical conditions, such as diabetes and autoimmune or thyroid disease. In such cases, our ophthalmologists, who are expert eye care specialists, work with doctors from the concerned departments to diagnose, treat and manage the underlying disease as well.
